First Generation 1996 Electric Ford Ranger
1996 Ford Ranger Electric Description
Original Factory Built First Generation 1996 Electric Ford Ranger
This is a classic collector car for the electric vehicle collector:
The First Generation Ford Electric Ranger. Most of these were scrapped. This is a rare survivor, with only 5,284 miles of use. It was stored indoors for most of its life. It has very few minor body dings and should show nicely. This is the first generation which uses sealed lead acid batteries and uses an external charger (not included) which plugs into a charging receptacle located in the special hinged front grill. Ford had the conversion work done by a company called TDM, Inc. This vehicle will need a new set of sealed lead acid batteries and an external charger in order to work, but is otherwise complete. Manuals are included.
