1968 Ford Mustang T-codetrue barn find. This car sat in a trailer for the last 26 years of its life. This is a one owner car with only 34,579k miles on the engine. Engine has been gone through completely and after 26 years of sitting, hit the roadon 2/28/16 and drove great. Transmission shifts smoothly and the engine purrs although it is in need of new exhaust system. Since I have owned the car I have rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the fuel filter, fuel line, fuel tank, fuel sending unit, alternator, hoses, brake master cylinder, brakes, tires, water pump, thermostat housing and thermostat, belt, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, transmission filter and gasket, radiator flushed and topped with fresh fluid, spark plugs, cap and wires and points. Oil change was done not even 10 miles ago. All parts were replaced with either new, rebuilt or remanufactured OEM parts minus the cap spark plugs and wires and some other things you just cannot replace with original parts. The engine was repainted the original dark blue as seen in the pictures and the engine bay painted black to protect from the elements. The body of the car does have several spots of rust as shown in the pics. It will be in need of total restoration in and out but it will not break your wallet. This car started offas aDiamond Blue car, but was repainted the red you see in the pictures. Why, I really don't know and the paint looks to be either amateur or maybe old school...not really sure, but not good at all. The floors appear to be solid and I tried to take as best of pictures as I could to show just how solid the car is underneath which is really half the work. It will need patch work on the roof and drip line as well as driver's side door, trunk and trunk lid and the usual areas around thefenders and wheel wells. All in all this is a great project that will not take much to make it an awesomecollector. All glass appears to be inok condition as well.I will also be including red Ponyseatskins (not pictured) forfront and back seatsas well as for the door panel skins (foam padding and springs not included). This car was built in May 27th 1968 which several hundredother mustangswere built and out of those several hundred there are only two left, this one and one more that is no where to be found making this care a rare find and quite possibly worth some good money once completed. I included a screen shot of the car's Data Plate Decoder for manufacture information. Buy as is where-is. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs related to the purchase of this vehicle. Also the car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank you for looking.
