1999 Ford Explorer Sport Description

For sale by private seller (me) is a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport. 4.0 SOHC V6.~~~ Automatic.~~~ Four Wheel Drive.

Engine, tranny, 4x4 all work great. The tires are like new and only have a few thousand miles on them.

The mileage is 112,333.

The back of the console has air conditioning and radio controls so the "back seat drivers" are comfortable.

Reason for selling is this one needs some work for inspection, andI needed a bigger vehicle anyway. The Anti-lock brakesystem needssome kind ofcontrol module (couple hundred bucks new, or go to a junkyard and get a used one),and the rust needs fixed underneath the vehicle. One can purchase panels to fix up underneath to pass inspection. My mechanic said the rust on the rocker panel doesn't necessarily need fixed for inspection, although it would make it look nicer. The windshield wiper on the back window does not work.

The vehicle runs very well, I just didn't want to put any money into it when I needed a bigger vehicle anyhow.

I only know of one little dent in the front fender near the antenna. The drivers seat is starting to wear and there are two cracks in the center console. The air conditioner might need some refrigerant.

Smoke free vehicle.

Clean title. I have owned this vehicle since 2005.

Vehicle is located in the Mt Pleasant Mills/ Liverpool area in central PA.

$200 Paypal deposit at end of auction. The balance is due when vehicle is picked up and title is transferred. Deposit is not returned if you back out of the deal.
