1988 Jeep Wagoneer Base Sport Utility 4-Door Description

1988 Jeep Grand WagoneerThis is a beautiful truck inside and out. It has 86k original miles I believe I am the 3rd owner of this time capsule which had 58,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. I have had it serviced every 3,000 miles since I bought it, but it was obviously well maintained before me as well. (I will furnish the buyer with all those records - I also have the original owners manual and workshop manual.)It was garaged before I bought it and I kept it garaged too. My wife used it as a daily driver and we took quite a few successful, long distance road trips also. Never had any problems. It is currently registered and on the road with a NY state inspection. It starts up without any hassle. I encourage anyone to have a look for themselves.
4WD works great. Excellent in the snow. Drives beautifully. Very clean and totally reliable! Even the back window-which is notorious for not functioning on these-goes up and down smoothly every time. Whoever ends up with this Jeep will be very lucky to own it. I'd have to admit my only real complaint is that EVERYONE wants to talk about it. It's a very nostalgic car and I've heard more GW stories from first dates to driving on the beach shenanagins than I will ever be able to remember. If they don't have a story they all say they hope to own one soon. Everyone loves it and everyone let's you know it.
As far as the mechanics go:The carburetor is new.Brakes are good, however I do have a spare set to give, it won't need them for quite a while though. The radiator has been replaced and upgraded to a larger unit to prevent overheating.Tires are about 10 months oldThe windsheild was recently replaced because there was a small ding that I didn't want to spread.Air conditioner works great and so does the heat. All seats and windows function as they should. All gauges on dash function and read correctly. Its a real pleasure to drive.
I am also selling the truck locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if its sold.If anyone has any questions please feel free to call and ask.If there is a photo that I have not provided: let me know, I am happy to take it and send it.Serious inquiries only please! No low ballers!
