NO RESERVE...4x4...STRAIGHT SIX...DEEP RUBBER
1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the desirable 4.0L inline six cylinder engine and Select-Trac 4WD system. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in stone white over saddle leather interior, which is a good color combination. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The worst I can say about the exterior of this Jeep is that the clear coat is peeling a bit on the front fender tops and hood, but the white color hides it well. Otherwise, the paint shines nicely and looks as smooth as glass. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. The only body rust visible on this truck is a little bit on the underside of the tailgate, which is normal at this age. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in an aggressive looking set of oversized tires. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Jeep Grand Cherokee to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The driver's door card shows a little normal elbow wear. The driver's seat shows the most wear, as seen in the photos. The power windows, locks, mirrors and seat all work properly. The headliner is down, which is also common at this age. The factory radio has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player. I am guessing that the door speakers have also been upgraded, because the audio system sounds unusually good for an older Jeep. A full set of manuals are included. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older Jeep. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and good oil pressure, too. The check engine light is on. The code is for an upstream oxygen sensor. The engine makes good power and feels strong and smooth. The air intake has been upgraded with a free flowing K&N air filter. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight. The aggressive, oversized tires are a bit noisy on the highway and make it wonder a bit...which is to be expected. If I listen carefully, I think I can hear the rear differential making noise...but it's hard to hear over the tires. In addition to the 4.0L straight six cylinder engine, this Jeep has the desirable Select-Trac Part Time 4WD system, which is tested and working properly. This Grand Cherokee has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of December, 2017. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
