CONDITION & ISSUES
I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle. My parents originally bought it from their elderly next door neighbor at 25,000 miles. They drove it for a few years and gifted to me in 2004 at 93,000 miles. I have been the owner since that point. My wife has used it as her daily driver. She recently got a new car so I'm selling this now. She wanted more modern features like in-dash navigation, Bluetooth, and a backup camera.
The Jeep runs great and has a strong engine. It has had regular oil changes and I fixed issues any time my mechanic recommended something. No leaks. It has not been subject to any cigarette smoking nor pet hair. It has always passed emissions testing. Here are the primary issues it has:
- Rear door hatch sometimes won't fully unlatch. You have to tug on it a few times or do a re-lock/unlock to get it to open. There are some videos on YouTube on how to fix this but I haven't taken the time to do it yet.- A/C works but is only slightly cold- Front right speaker occasionally has static- Drivers seat has some torn seat leather. A seat cover can easily remedy this or you can get leather repair kits online.- LCD on the CD player is hard to read. If you press on it slightly with your finger, you can read it.- White paint is a little faded- Some scratches on the bumpers but no dents on the body- At startup you can hear fluid moving thru the heater core under the glove box. It sounds like water sloshing and goes away after a few seconds. From what I've read online, it's an air bubble in the heater core that needs to be bled off. That said, the heater itself works and warms up just fine.- Drivers door and passenger door squeaks when opened
