1970 Mercury Cyclone 429 Cobra Jet. This Mercury is loaded with the rare 429 Cobra Jet. The cars condition is very clean condition. The 429 runs strong and trans shifts fine. The engine has its assembly date stamped 22 days prior. The Trans has the Cast iron Tail housing and R Servo. The car is very solid, having only a battery apron repair, and the drivers lower quarter panel replaced many years ago. The floors are very clean and no signs of rust. The frame and transition pan are perfect. The car has its imperfections and looks to have been painted over 10 years ago, but shines like the photos show. There are typical chips on door edges and hood etc. No accident damage anywhere visible. The Cyclone does have subframe connectors, that at one time tied to the rear axle housing, now separated from.
The hideaway lights and grill are very nice, as most of these are in a thousand pieces.
Car runs and drives, but need some TLC and I have too many. Dash is Spoiler, but needs gauges wired in. Has bucket seats and console added, do not have the original bench.
The car has been sitting in my collection for a few years, and I have not had time to detail and enjoy the car. Now I need the room.
Great 70's Muscle, with the largest engine and highest HP offered that year, priced to move thanks..
