1970 Mercury Cyclone GT VERY RARE Rust Free California Car
1970 Mercury Other Description
For sale is a very rare 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT. This car is has about the best body I have ever seen on one of these cars...please see the photos of the floors with the carpet removed...no rust (I also can find no dents). I am told this car had the motor rebuilt before being put into dry storage 30 years ago here in California and after removing the valve covers...I believe this to be correct. It was purchased new in the town of Pixley, California (look it up on a map) which is in the California central valley (no rain). I have an original California registration from the 70's confirming this and the car is still wearing its last registration sticker from 1987. The car's body was painted blue some time in the late 70's (which quickly faded) except for the hood. It is still wearing its original California blue plates. The car just received new plugs and points. Although this car will need a total cosmetic restoration...it is one of the best startsyou willever get on a very rare car. It is also themost desired color (orange) which is the colorFord used to promote these cars in advertising back in the day (seeadvertisement which is included in thesale). I also found most of the original build sheet under the carper (one spot was stuck to the undercoating...hence the missing section). Also included is a very rare deluxedash with full instrumentation. This car is also loaded with options including power steering, power disc brakes, console, rally wheels, bucket seats and air conditioning. The car has a clear California title. Please call with anyquestions you may have or to schedule an inspectionat any time before the end of the auction. The car is sold as is where is without warranty. Ido also reserve the right to end the auction at any time as the car may be advertised for sale locally. Thanks. 530-723-2145.
