Up for sale we have a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. This is a true Road Runner that features the numbers matching 383 Block and is also a factory Four Speed Car. It has under gone a full restoration with only an upgraded to the A/C. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Plymouth, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Road Runner. When you look down the sides you will see a laser straight body that has good fit of the panels. It has the correct road runner hood with the twin scoops. It also has the twin outside mirrors along with the Magnum 500 Wheels. At the time of the resto they replaced the weather stripping around the doors and trunk along with new roof rail seals. The glass has new seals and felt around the side windows is new. The stainless shows well and it also has new bumpers. This is a vinyl top car which was replaced at the time of the resto. The black is a good accent to the Limelite Green Body that has a deep rich shine and is smooth to the touch. In the jams, under the hood, and in the trunk is all very nice. To finish off the looks it's sitting on Magnum Rims that are wrapped with red line tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '69. On the inside it's all done in the factory green. It has bucket seats but is a console delete car. The seat covers, carpet, and door panels all look like new as does the headliner. It has the tall hurt shifter with the white knob. Looking at the dash it looks correct with a factory tach that has the 5000 red line. Also, it has the AM FM radio that works as well. The A/C controls are correct to this car and an under dash oil gauge has been added. Of course you can't forget that it has the BEEP BEEP Horn.
Finally, we will take a look at the drivetrain of the Plymouth. Under the hood it features the numbers matching 383 Block. This engine bay looks as it would have in '69 with everything being painted. The fire wall and inner fenders are done in the body color. The engine retains the stock valve covers and intake with the carb being changed to an Edelbrock. The trans is a Four Speed that's mated to the 8 " Rear End. The exhaust flows through stock manifolds with duals. This Road Runner has Power Brakes with Disc Up front and Drums in the real. Also it has Power Steering and the A/C has the updated compressor. Out back it has a rear sway bar and the fuel tank is new. When you look under it everything is detailed very nice and appears super solid.
