1970 Pontiac GTO 2-DR HDTP Description

Regretfully offering up for sale my first car love affair...a 1970 Pontiac GTO.As the title states, this car was featured in a locally filmed movie (Home For The Holidays), and was driven by none other than a very young Robert Downey, Jr. (The hood stripe was added later after the movie due to minor scratches during the filming.) It's a non-numbers matching mildy modified 1970 Pontiac GTO in Lucerne Blue w/black interior in Good to Very Good condition w/some minor paint blemishes/scratches, normal wear, etc. The car also features an original Judge spoiler on the rear decklid, and a functionalreproduction hood tach. Car was purchased many years ago from a well known local collector. It's an older semi-restoration w/a rebuilt 455 engine and Turbo 400 transmission. The 455 is fairly mild. but w/a nod towards performance. It features ported factory 670 cylinder head castings, an aftermarket aluminum intake, Holley Street HP 850cfm carb, Doug's headers, 3" exhaust w/Flowmaster mufflers, 10.5:1 compression ratio aluminum pistons, Eagle steel rods, and a custom hydraulic cam. The engine also features a fully functional factory Ram-Air system. The Turbo 400 was rebuilt by ATI w/a high-performance 2,800 stall speed converter. The rear end is a Cheverolet 12 bolt w/a Moroso Brute Strength differential and 4.10 gears. The suspension is mostly made up of Dick Miller racing bits with 90/10 adj. shocks in the front, and 50/50 shocks in the rear...combined w/beefy upper/lower adj.control arms. Wheels are polished Weld Racing wrapped in M&H's up front, and BF Goodrich Drag Radials in the rear.
The interior is mostly original w/factory dyed seats, but new repro door panels, and carpeting. The dash is a non-original item from a Lemans. The interior also features a factory wood steering wheel and incorrect (for the yr) Hurst Dual-Gate shifter. Please e-mail sbaileyat1662@yahoo.com for inquiries and more details-if needed. Thank you! This is a very solid driver'scar w/acool history...don't miss a chance to own thisunique vintage musclecar!
