1999 Porsche Boxster Description

This 1999 Porsche Boxster is in good, daily driver condition. The IMS bearing, clutch, soft top, and windshield have been replaced within the last 25,000 miles. The carshows wear commensurate with a cared for, 18-year-old daily driver. A folder of maintenance records since new is included, going back to the original window sticker. I have a clean California title in my name and a California smog certificate in hand, and the Boxster is registered through April of 2018.

Maintenance Highlights (receipts in maintenance folder)

Condition

As can be seen in the ad photos, this Boxster is in nice overall condition. It has little dings and scratches, but they aren't particularly noticeable without a close-up inspection. The leather seats are worn, but still comfortable and presentable enough for a daily driver. The driver seat bottom is starting to separate in one area, but it is only noticeable on close inspection. Everything works properly (cold A/C, stereo, power windows and locks, remote lock/unlock, etc.), although the trip odometer has a digit that gets faint after the car has been running for awhile. Continental tires look like they have decent tread. The engine produces a rattling sound for approximately a ½ second on cold starts first thing in the morning; it doesn't seem to affect anything and it only occurs on cold start. At high speeds the car drifts slightly to the right and exhibits some steering wheel vibration; I think it probably needs a wheel alignment. The convertible top window is a little cloudy, but I have found it to be functional enough in traffic.

Body Work

A previous owner was involved in two fender benders in this Boxster. Repair receipts for both are in the maintenance folder - damage extent appears to have been bumper cover and hood damage, all of which was professionally repaired. I have had the front bumper cover off of this car, and could not see any signs of past damage to the body structure behind the bumper cover.

I am happy to meet with prospective buyers for inspection of the Boxster. Please contact me through ebay to setup an appointment.
