1997 Toyota Camry LE Description
Please read full listing carefully for all details about this car. More photos below.
I am selling my '97 Toyota Camry. This has been in our family since it was purchased brand new. I got a minivan recently so don't need a second car. The interior color is beige and is fabric. The exterior paint is black but is faded and has some dings and scratches.
+ Car has upgraded audio system with an MP3 CD player, USB media support, and Bluetooth. It also has a microphone for hands-free phone calls. It also has upgraded Sony Speakers in the rear.
+ The car also has a remote start system with alarm (Viper brand). I spent about $500 to have this installed a few years ago. It works great. I have two remotes for it.
+ Timing belt and water pump were replaced at Toyota dealer. I have the all the maintenance records.
+ It has 4 General Altimax RT43 Standard Touring All Season tiresthat were newly installed not too long ago. The remaining tread life is very good.
+ Title is clear and I have it on hand.
+ Car has never been in an accident.
- The one issue with this car is I need to keep adding coolant to the reservoir every few days because I think there is a leaky head gasket. The engine needs repair or replacement. I don't want to go through repairing myself so that is why the price of the car is heavily discounted. The vehicle runs and drives. However, when I drive it, there is a white smoke coming from the head gasket leak instead of going to the exhaust system. You can probably drive it away if you live close by but I would consider towing it if you live further away. I don't know what this means for the engine and if should be repaired vs. replaced. Someone told me if there is coolant leaking then catalytic converter may also need replacement.
The car is presently located in my driveway in Queens near St. John's University. Buyer should be able to pick up from there or contact me in advance to discuss shipping/towing service.
Buyer must make full payment within 72 hours via cash or cashier's check.
If you have any questions you may contact me through eBay or via text or phone call at 847-373-927 four.
You are welcome to come see the car before-hand.
Basic stuff:-Please do not bid if you do not have the funds to buy the car at your bid price.-The car is being sold AS-IS. I have listed the one major issue I know about. I do not have the time to repair/fix it so I am offering the car to the highest bidder.
