  • I went a little overboard with my certified Toyota master mechanic and had him change out everything and anything last summer in order to bring it back to near showroom condition. The following was performed simply out of my O.C.D nature and of no mechanical faults. Only Toyota OEM parts were used right down to every nut and bolt. The Land Cruiser is 100% factory OEM and is exactly how it would have come from Tokyo Factory in February of 1997.
*Front Axles were repacked with all OEM bearings, parts, etc... (huge job and over $1,500 at the dealership)*All fluids changed: engine/radiator coolant, oil change, transfer case, both differentials, brake fluid flushed, etc.*Front & Rear Brake Pads, Rotors, shims, etc...even the breather caps were replaced*4 New OEM Toyota Shocks*All new hoses and belts. Even the pesky heater hoses and that really troublesome heater hose in the back of the engine.*New Water Pump & thermostat.*New Valve Cover Gasket*New Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, Cap & Rotor.*New Oil Pump and Crankshaft Seals.
*There maybe some more items I replaced being an anal truck owner which I'll add later if I remember. All maintenance records from day one of the previous owner will be included as well. If anyone would like a particular picture of something, please let me know and I can have it up on Ebay within a few hours.
    Interior:
*The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears in any of the seats. Some light wear in the front seats but the back and third row were rarely sat in. Everything works including the heat, AC, remote star, cruise control, all windows, door locks, gauges, radio, tape player, and CD player.,Android player. The passenger seat motor works but won't go back and forth... only the lumbar and height adjust work.
*It still shines with the original paint as the truck has been garaged its entire life. Certainly expect some minor blemishes here and there in the way of scratches and scuffs. The Tiresare in excellent shape with deep grooves and are Michelin LTX M/S. They were replaced at around 199,000 miles. (about ten-thousand miles ago)
    Engine:
The engine compartment is clean enough to eat off. It's nicer looking than my Tacoma. I try and wipe it down anytime it accumulates a little dirt in there.
    PAYMENT:
A $500 non-refundable money order overnighted is required immediately. The remaining funds will be cashier's check or usps money order or cash. I expect the full amount within 7 days of auction end. Please make sure you can afford this vehicle and have all funds in place prior to our discussions. I can help with shipping from Flagstaff, Arizona but will not be responsible for find a transport service or driving it anywhere outside my home town. There's a "Little America" truck stop here in Flagstaff right off the freeway where I can meet your truck carrier. Again, please only serious inquiries. Thank you.

  • Exterior:
  • 1997 – A limited run of Land Cruiser 80s was built specifically for collectors and therefore called the Land Cruiser Collector's Edition. The Collectors Edition sported Collectors Edition badging, "Collector's Edition" embroidered floor mats, automatic climate control, wheels with the "D" windows painted dark grey and special grey side moldings, and black pearl badging. The Collectors Edition was only available for the 1997 model year and the package was added to many of the available body colors.
  • 1997 – 4744 FZJ80 Land Cruisers were sold in the United States as "40th Anniversary Limited Edition" models. They were available in 2 colours; Antique Sage Pearl (often referred to as Riverrock, Pewter, or Grey) and Emerald Green. The 40th Anniversary models included apron badges, a serial number badge on the centre console, black pearl exterior badges, "40th Anniversary Limited Edition" embroidered floor mats, automatic climate control, two-tone tan and brown leather interiors, and wheels with the "D" windows painted dark gray. Many were manufactured with the optional electric front and rear locking differentials, keyless entry, port-installed roof racks, and running boards. There are some examples that did not have many of these extras. This is the last year for the electric locking front differentials.
