Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Ryan and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auction is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowlege and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Volkswagen Passat GLX. I would rate the exterior of this VW to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensutate with the age and mileage. I marked this VW as below average condition because their are a few more marks than normal. On this VW, there are marks on the front and rear bumpers, the hood, drivers door, and passangers side front fender have dents. Other than that it's the normal wear and tear. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The glass and lenes are all intact. The factory alloy wheels show nicely and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.

I would rate the interior of this VW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The leather seating is supple and comfortable, showing little wear. Both front seats are power andheated. The power windows, locks, seats, sunroofand mirrors work properly. The power mirror ajustment nob is missing and the passenger window switch on the drivers switch board is broken.The factory AM/FM radio with tape deck and CD player sounds good. The steering wheel has audio controls, too. The climate control system seems to be working proprtly. The heater blows hot and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Interior room is excellent for front and rear passengers. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully.

Mechaniclly, this VW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.8L V6 engine starts easily and runs very smoothly. I noticed a oil leak but the engine does not smoke. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. It's road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. steering and braking feel good, too. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The manual 5 speed transmission is smooth and has all grears although 2ed gear scratches a bit if you shift fast and on down shifts. The only other thing I noticed is a small vibration under acceleration. The clutch feels strong and dose not slip or chatter. Out on the highway, it drives nice and stright with no complaints. The timing belt was done andgood until 198,400 miles.VW/Audi has offered the 2.8L engine in many different modles for over a decade now and has proven reliabilty.
