For Sale/Trade 1998 Cobra 8 Sec. Turbo Street CarPlease read full description.I bought this car a little over two years ago to compete in a local heads up street car series. It is an original Cobra with only 65,000 miles on the chassis. It was already a proven 8 second car when I bought it(I have videos). It was fast no doubt about it, but it still had a bunch of stock and older parts I knew I would have to change to be competitive in this class. Not knowing exactly how many miles were on the built motor, I did not want to gamble so the car went straight to Kimmis Racing Engines.
There Mike Kimmis completely freshened up the 4.6 Teksid block and B-heads. While waiting on machine work, he went ahead and freshened up the 8.8 rear end. I have all the receipts from Kimmis Racing Engines.The car then sat for about 5 months as it had to wait in line to get into the very busy and very popular local fab shop 417 Motorsports. During this time I gathered some new parts. Once the car made it into 417 Motorsports, here is a list of what they did. I have all receipts.
-The crown jewel of this whole build…a full billet one off one of its kind B-head intake manifold!!! Took 9 months to make this bad boy.-Redid the battery box making it cleaner and safer.-Updated the CO2 Leash Boost Controller to a Pulse/Leash.-Redid a good portion of the brake lines and routed the Line Lock.-Braided lines for the trans cooler.-Redid my Anti Roll Bar.-Fabbed up a much bigger catchcan with braided lines.-Complete all new aluminum 4” exhaust system from the downpipe to the custom muffler at rear axle.-Changed to parachute handle to the E-brake lever.-New Tial BOV. Old one was fake.-New Holley 160lb injectors.-Custom front bumper lip.-Neutral safety switch.-Adjusted rear shock brackets.Engine-Literally 40 miles on the motor. It is on a base tune to be able to pull the car in and out of the garage. While the car was still at the Fab shop, the organizer of the class I was getting the car ready to race in pulled the plug on the series. Not anything else local this car can run in, so I am looking for another more serious turbo EFI car to trade for with me adding money on top. Will sell for 29,500 and not a penny less! I do not care if the car sits and collects dust for the rest of its life. Will not part out, but may consider selling as a whole the motor/efi/turbo kit.
