2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GTH Description

2006 40th Anniversary Hertz Shelby GT-H “Rent-A-Racer” #386,

is one of only 500 that were made by Shelby.

In 2006 this historic Hertz/Shelby program was the very first for

Carroll and Ford after 36 years. Each of these cars were built

identical and shipped from the Mustang Plant in Flat Rock, MI., to

the Shelby facility in Las Vegas for the “up-fit” to GT-H

specifications.

As stated in the latest 2015 Shelby magazine, "Without the GT-H

Success, there would have been no GT500 Super Snakes,

GT500KR's or GT 1000's". It was the car that put Shelby back in

the Mustang business, says the Shelby team.

This 40th Anniversary Shelby GT-H is a 70 year olds’ daily driver

& is one of the highest pampered and documented cars in

existence. It has a great amount of paperwork and in-depth

documentation from Ford Motor Co., Shelby American and Hertz

Rental LLC-dating back to its April 2006 delivery at Shelby

American in Las Vegas, to its rental and it's 2nd private purchase.

This early production car was purchased by me from the 1st owner

collector in 2010 after a lengthy search to find one that met my

criteria of an original, undamaged and unmolested car.

The car has been professionally painted in 2012 so I could have those Gold stripes

painted in rather than continue to use tape. It has the original glass,

original wheels and I have the original Pirelli tires as an option that

the car was delivered with from Ford in 2006.

The Deluxe interior has been upgraded by Shelby, the “promotional” Sirius Satellite

receiver mounted to the center console showing the Hertz/Sirius

logo, & ready to activate.

The car was purchased by me with 21xxx miles on it and now

has 81,350. The car has not been tracked.
