1964 Ford Galaxie Description

64 galaxie classic. Currently configured as 3 spd on column, other than an AM radio no options. BUT SEE BELOW it gets better. The only rust throughs are pictured, on the rear quarters behind the wheels and in the center of the trunk floor. I have patches for the trunk and 4dr rear quarters for patches. The floors below the driver and passenger are solid (no rust holes). The battery tray is original and not rusted out. I had the engine running in Dec. (gas down the carb) it sounds fine but smokes light blue. The frame rails look fine, no rust hole I can see. The interior is bad needs headliner, seat covers, rugs see below. Tires are pretty much toast. I took the gas tank out years ago so I could patch the trunk (never got to it), the tank is fine, no holes. some pieces of the trim are loose because the mounts are gone or rusted, but all the trim piece are included along with wheel covers, picture of the wheel covers looks bad but they are just dirty, not rusted. Rubber hoses on cooling system are toast. The roof exteriorhas a solid coat of rust on it, It is NOT rusted through, looks like someRustLick would remove itwith not much trouble, a filling primer would cleanit up without much elseneeded. The brakes don't work, parts all there no fluid. It was a one owner car before me, I have a copy of the original NCtitle. YOU are buying a RESTORATION PROJECT not a driver.
This is the good stuff, it comes with the following extras. In the trunk isa full P/S set up. Have an additional PS pump. A P/Brake booster. You get a 4 spd manual trans, a shifter (rough), and shifter hump for the center hump. 4spd linkage and repair parts. Additional PS pump, 1 PS hose (nos). A/C compressor mounts. AC under dash unit, plus an AC compressor (condition unknown) Power Seat base. 2 REAR BUMPERS one rechromed with a minor flaw, one original in decent rechromeable condition. Both front fendersfor spares. Originals are fine. Additional arm rests (referbed) Extra steering column (wrong color and automatic) extra 75% dash board. The following engine parts come with it. new camshaft, cam bearings, timing set (cam to crank), new oil pump, rebuilt water pump, full gasket set, new main bearings .010 over. new.030 over pistons. I'm betting these will be OK since Isee no evidence the enginehas ever beenopened.Comes with service manuals andother service documentation. I also found a new in the box Carpet Set from Auto Interiors. It too is included with the car.
Mostof the above parts (not engine parts) are pulls from other vehicles. I can not attest to there operational condition. The final sale will be through ebay, not in person. As a side note original rear bumpers are scarce and expensive. I paid $450 for the rechromed one. Paid about 400. for the 4 spd trans. An engine kit is generally above $700. Your getting 95% of a full engine kit with it. With that be advised there is no guarantee your machinist will be able to overbore it to .030. It should, based on the mileage.Will need at least $300. deposit through Paypal at the end of the auction. The remainder can be paypal or CASH on pick up. No checks. As noted above pre-inspections are ok if your in the area, just email.
