1997 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x4. The Ford Explorer is based off of the rugged and reliable Ford Ranger pick-up, which make these very capable SUVls. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in white and tan two tone exterior over matching tan interior, which is a good color combination. The white finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find much to complain about as you walk around the exterior of this Explorer. All the trim and cladding are present and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. You can see the usual Explorer rocker rust holes hiding behind the running boards. I am told that one of the body mounts under the truck has a rust hole, too. This will keep it from passing inspection in PA. Each state has it's own inspection requirements so please know your state's specific laws. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory chrome alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this truck looks. I would also rate the interior of this Explorer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets show well for their age and are not excessively work. The leather seats show a little age but are acceptable. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows "cool". I can hear the compressor come on and the air blows cool but would most likely need a charge to blow cold again. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Explorer came in. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shift properly with zero issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. As with any older truck, please expect a few squeaks, vibrations and rattles here and there. If you're looking for a clean, older SUV that hasn't been all used up, this Explorer Eddie Bauer deserves your serious consideration. It is a fresh new car trade and has a current PA safety inspection. Thanks for looking an good luck bidding.
