Myplan was a "full on restoration" for this baby, but life got in the way, and for personal reason, I am going to have to pass this wonderful Example of Toyota's finest SUV on to the next person who fully appreciates the Truck for what it is.That's right this LC is going to sell with NO RESERVE.
I bought this Cruiser 2 years ago from the original owner in Alabama and was and still is running great. He was a pilot and loved this truck.I pull a Boy Scout Troop trailer a few times a year and it was loading the rear down so I had Forest at Little Rock Import add adjustable air bags to the rear springs (you can see them in the pictures). This allows you to easily adjust the height of rear for better level towing.
Done in the last 5000 miles to baseline the maintenance as a preventive measure based on input from IH8mud fourm:OEM New fuel pump and filterTiming belt kit, all idler pulleys and tensioner, water pump, crank seal, camshaft seals. all new belts, hoses and Toyota red antifreeze.Alternator and STARTER taken to best rebuild shop in Arkansas and gone through new bearings, starter contact etc. New intake gasket installed with starter.Over head interior LED's from PFRAN, this makes CAB and rear area when you open rear hatch nice and bright.http://www.pfranleds.com/Replaced rear cross member with a OEM toyota ($250).Replaced nylon gear for power antenna. Power antenna works great.Replaced door side power lock/window switch.I have 2 power door lock key FOB's and they work.Replaced Rear Shocks with KYB-345023-Excel-G-Gas-Shock
Problems-- Oil pressure gauge doesn't work, haven't got around to fixing it. Checked with a mechanical gauge and its good.Interior rear and middle leather feel pretty good. Front seats look pretty ruff. A local guy quoted 400 to 450 to recover both of them.Paint shines pretty good, need a waxing but it does have a few dents and the clear coat has issues (see pictures).
Some lights behind climate control need replacing. I have a spare whole unit.
Overall this is a great Cruiser that has had all the routine maintenance done and should be good for another 100k with no problems. These things are know for there outstanding reliability and this one is no different. It has the typical Land Cruiser issues, seat seam coming apart, antenna(fixed), slow windows but its a great ride.
I have been back and forth about selling. But it has to go. Please feel free to call with questions 501-837-5595 I am willing to work with you on delivery if needed.
