1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic Description

Hate to do it but she's up for sale. I built this for camping, hunting and fishing in Michigan- it does that very well. This jeep is at home on the freeway as well as the trail. It also has a Plow that works very well and has only been used on personal driveway. The plow and mount is easily removable if desired (plow pic is ~2 yrs old). Specs:

4.0L I6 Engine- ~30,000 miles on the long block- previous owner swapped it before I bought it.

Manual Transmission (AX-15- RARE) with Luk Pro Gold Clutch)

~5.0" lift- TNT Customs Long Arm Kit, Rusty's Springs/Shackles.

NP231 with Advanced Adapters Slip Yolk Eliminator Kit.

Tom Woods Driveshafts Front and Rear.

Bought from a guy that brought this up from down South-Always garage kept, rarely driven in winter. This jeep is extremely rust free for a '98.

2x6x1/8" Custom Welded in solid Rockers

Chrysler 8.25" Rear Axle (3.55 Ratio) (Disc Brakes)

Dana 30 High Pinion Front Axle (3.55 Ratio) (Disc Brakes)

Full custom Cross Over Steering System (Teraflex High Steer Knuckle, 1.25X.25" wall DOM, 3/4x5/8" Chromoly Heim Joints).

Like new Cooper STT Pro Tires (32x11.50) and Mickey Thompson 15X10 Rims

Bushwhacker Flatty Fender Flares

Logan Metal Products Bumpers front and rear (I added the tire swing)

Rear bumper has been sleeved into the rear of the jeep (see attached pic) this is the only way to do this correctly- other jeeps are very flimsy- this is rock solid- supports tire carrier and will tow a trailer well (See Pic).

I have also put the rear shocks through the bed in the back- this corrects terrible factory shock mounting from the factory and gives way more rear travel (See Pic) this does not affect the operation of the rear seat and it was done correctly- the tub was reinforced with 10G steel as a mounting surface.

I've replace almost everything on this jeep during various rebuilds over the last 30,000 miles I've owned it including completely rebuilding the axles (U-joints, ball joints, seals, etc.), clutch, all brakes, new timing kit, power steering pump/gear box, master cylinder, brand new heater core, blower motor and AC evaporator, battery, all engine gaskets (minus head gasket), radiator, and so much more.

Whats wrong with it?- Passenger door lock cylinder doesn't work- I will give the buyer a set that I have new in the box, Park Brake isn't hooked up- Ill give the buyer all the cables, various scratches and dents- Drivers fender is wrinkled a little bit (see pic)- nothing major- that's all I can think of- I've maintained this jeep meticulously. Ill also give the buyer a lot of spare parts that I have for this jeep.

If there are questions, message me and I'll get back with you.
