This is real low miles AMC Jeep Wagoneer with the rare 401 (6.6 Liter) engine. It was sold new in Kingman Arizona and has lived most of its life in Williams Arizona. It belonged to an elderly lady who passed away in 1990 and hence was not driven much since except once a month around the neighborhood. It runs & drives well.
Just turned 100,000 miles. Has Actual 102800 Miles and I have verified same. Original paint with patina. Good Chrome all around.
It is an "All time 4x4" Quadratrac with Automatic transmission on the column, Power Windows, Power Steerin, Power Brakes etc. It has an original Air conditioning system that were dealer installed. The compressor is missing but they are available for $180 on the net. Heater works fine.
The truck was a nice driving vehicle but to make it better and more reliable the following mechanical repairs have been performed at a cost of over $2500.
Since the truck was occasionally driven in the last 26 years the gaskets were dry and hence replaced.
The front drive shaft and axles and diff were completely rebuilt as I intended to restore the truck. ( see attached copy of work order performed by Napa Auto Center.)
Completely Rebuilt Front Differential, Front Axles, Front drive Shaft ( work performed by Napa Auto Center Flagstaff with National guarantee for 12 months)
New Oil Pan Gasket
New Rear Main Seal
New Oil Pump
I have some personal issues that came up and hence I am selling midway. It is a great truck for easy restoration and am sorry to part with it.
Some of the things that I was going to do to make it real perfect are as follows-
Replace Front Springs bushings ( have new ones)
Replace Valve Cover Gaskets ( have new ones)
Replace Rear end basket ( have new)
Wheel hub caps ( have ordered used and are on the way, not guaranteed to convey with vehicle)
Needs new motor for rear windshield. Old motor is out and could be replired but there are a dime and dozen of these available on the net.
Paint & minor body work. The body has slight rust behind the rear wheel from mud sitting in that area for a long period of time. It is on the outer metal only and can be easily repaired. The only other rust I see is near the license plate, just a 1 square inch area. Again, it is where the moisture traps dripping down the rear glass. Other than that this truck is bone dry and totally rust free, the undercarriage is totally rust free and as clean and original as it can be. Small crease on rear passenger side door from the door opening too wide.
The interior is pretty good except the headliner that needs to be replaced.
It runs great. I have it down in the valley now and have not tuned it for the lower altitude. Could use a good tuneup. Starts right up and drives down the street straight and stops good. Transfer Case, quadratrac, Diff lock, all work great. All lights and electrial perfect.
I will be posting additional images soon and will be able to respond to all and any questions you hav, either by messages or phone.
I have a lot invested in this collectible classic Jeep but am starting the auction real low so bid with confidence.
I have a clear Arizona Title and Owners manual and interesting documents etc. to show that the mileage is correctly 102,683 Miles only. Sold "AS IS"
