1985 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Camper Description

Selling the second of my buddy's three Westfalias. One down and this one to go. In his quest of finding the most perfect Westfalia for camping and surfing, my buddy has amased three Westfalias. One has been sold and this one is the last to go. He is keeping the final one for himself. So, I am selling this clean, well sorted 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia for him. It has been loving serviced and cared for by the Old Volks Home in Santa Cruz, CA. Surf City USA. Living at the beach all these years has caused cosmetic blemishes on this 31 year old body. The paint, although shines and looks good has seen better days in some areas. The sliding door and the dog leg on the right quarter met with a pole during it's early days. (see video and photos). The motor was rebuilt and has around 31,000 miles on it. The clutch is a week old. There is a receipt for both repairs. It has been lovingly owned and used. It has the rare center seat that slides in and out. All the camping equipment works, I just checked it myself. The pop top has some holes and separation at the rear of the Westfalia(see video and photo). The sides and the front are both in good condition. It runs good. I just drove it from his home in Santa Cruz to my house. Drove and shifted good through the mountains. Temperature gauge stayed in the middle. Climbed with ease and made it back, safe and sound. There is a stack of maintenance records and it has always been maintained with regular oil changes and tune ups. Receipts in the file total over $10,000. Also, selling in AS-IS, Where-Is condition with no warranties, expressed or implied. Vehicle is a used vehicle and although runs and drives good, it is not showroom fresh. Vehicle is also advertised locally and seller reserves right to end the auction early and cancel any and all bids if sold outside of ebay.
