2001 Ford Explorer 4dr 4X4 Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Ryan and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that i am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowladge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Ford Explorer 4x4. The Ford Explorer is based off of the rugged and reliable Ford Ranger pick-up and is a very capable SUV. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and inperfections commensurate with the age and mileage. On this specific Explorer, I noticed some rust on the rear fenders and some sun fading on the roof other than that just the normal scratches, chips, dings, etc..... nothing terrible. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tailgate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intacted. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Good Year Wrangler's with low tread. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.

I would rate the interior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The cloth seats show nicely and are very comfortable. The drivers seat is power but the passengers seat is not. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. The one small thing I noticed was a small hole in the arm rest (seen in pictures). The power windows, locks, mirrors and seat all work properly. The audio system is the original Ford AM/FM radio with CD player, whitch sounds good. The heat works as it should and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. It's road manners are good. The suspension feels good and well sorted. Steering and brakeing feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperatue and excellent oil pressure. There have been no idiot lights on duting my road test. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The automatic transmission engages smoothly with no complaints. Out on the highway, it drives nice and straight. Also as a nice bonus the exhaust is new. This Explorer seems to be a nice well kept truck. It's great road manners along with a quiet smooth ride makes it a nice SUV and with just over 100k this Explorer has plenty of life left in her. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
