2000 Ford Explorer XLT Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4. The Ford Explorer is a rugged and reliable SUV based off of the tough Ranger pick-up. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer XLT to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a great looking SUV. It is finished in black over gray interior. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around this Explorer. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the body trim and cladding are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about the exterior of this truck is that the driver's outside door handle is broken. Please take your time and check out each of the 80+ photos to see how clean this Explorer looks. I would also rate the interior of this Explorer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the interior. The power windows, locks, seat and mirrors all work properly. The seats are clean and comfortable with no visible wear. The audio system is original and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. It's too cold to verify that the air conditioner is working properly but I can tell you that the heater is working properly. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Explorer. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. She makes good power and feels smooth. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. If you're looking for an extra clean Explorer that hasn't been all used up and neglected, this one deserves your serious consideration. The worst I can say about this Explorer is that you can hear a slight leak in the exhaust when you first start it...not bad for an old truck. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
