Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4. The Ford Expedition is a full sized SUV with 3 rows of seating that is based off of the rugged and reliable F-Series truck, the Eddie Bauer trim package being the top of the line edition when this truck was made. I would rate the exterior of this Expedition to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in blue over tan with matching tan interior. Please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. The worst I can say about this Expedition is that the finish is showing some fade from age, which is hard to fault a 200k mile SUV for. As with nearly every older Expedition ever, the rockers are rusted through on both sides. Other than that, there really isn't anything noteworthy on the exterior to point out. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory chrome alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a nice, aggressive set of rubber. Tread on the front tires is good. The rears are noticeably thinner but should get you through until next inspection...maybe another year past that depending on your driving. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would also rate the interior of this Expedition Eddie Bauer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. For an SUV of this mileage, the interior shows quite well. The worst I can point out is that this vehicle previously belonged to a smoker so if you are sensitive to smells and such, this may not be the vehicle for you. This is far from the worst I've come across, but I want to make sure I disclose it. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior. A full set of factory floor mats is included. The leather seats also show well for their age and are comfortable. The driver's seat is power operated and both front seats are heated. The power windows, locks, seat and mirrors all work properly. This specific Expedition also has power rear vent windows. The audio system is the factory Premium Mach Audio which sounds great. There is a factory CD changer mounted in the center console, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. There is also independent rear heating and air conditioning. A full set of books and manuals are included. Access to the third row of seating is simple and there is ample room in the back row. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The third row seat is easily removed to open up a generous amount of storage.
Mechanically, this Expedition appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.4L Triton V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. It looks as if the original air suspension has been upgraded to coil springs, which would eliminate future service expenses related to the air suspension. It may also have a small lift in the suspension. I'm not sure, but it rides a little stiff and I currently have it parked outside next to an '05 Expedition King Ranch and this one sits at least 2" higher. Steering and braking feel good. The brakes are brand new all around. The engine keeps proper temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. This Expedition has had the same owners for the last 80k miles and appears to have been well cared for. She has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of March, 2017 and is a fresh NEW FORD TRADE. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
